Browns Garage was founded in the early 1930’s by Mr Redvers Brown. The Business remained within the family and was passed on to his son Mr Allen Brown who continued to run the garage until the mid 1980’s out of the same premises that we currently occupy now.
Browns Garage was then sold to its employees Mr David Barnes and Mr Raymond Griffiths and they continued to trade until 2010. Upon their joint retirement the business was sold to Mr Mike Wallis of Wallis Auto Engineering Ltd.
Wallis Auto Engineering was started in 1989 (interestingly from workshops at the other end of Albert Avenue.)
Gearbox repairs and reconditioning has been the main speciality since 1989.
